. The main part of soapbox derbies is designing, building, and racing your own cars. Whether you're a solo builder, a parent-child team, or a group of friends, the Mahone Bay Soapbox Derby is for you! See event rules in the Rules section for design guidelines.
Building a Car?
. We may have a limited number of spare soapbox cars available for use. These can be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis to those who want to race but don't have the time or tools to build. If you do not have a car but want to race, please email us at info@saltboxbrewingcompany.ca

. Spectators are welcome! The Mahone Bay Soapbox Derby is not just for racers. It's a full community event! Come cheer on the drivers, hang out with friends, and enjoy a day of fun by the track.

Rules
-Minimum age is 6
-Helmets required
-Cars must be capable of stopping and turning
-Cars must not weigh over 200 lb

Getting to the Event
Parking Options:
-Parking at the school is available no later than 9 AM. About 30 spots available. First come, first served.
-Public parking lot is available on Edgewater St all day. About a 15 minute walk from here to Clearway Street
Meeting point is Bayview Community School.
